MAGGIE MILLER, RECEIVES PRIZE PACKAGE WORTH MORE THAN $10,000

SAINT LOUIS, Mo — Stars Design Group CEO, Bret Schnitker presented the inaugural Lead Design Talent Award to Maggie Miller, a senior in fashion design in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.

The award is part of the 92nd Annual Fashion Design Show highlighting the capstone collections of seniors pursuing a BFA in Fashion Design. Schnitker praised Miller’s collection saying it “reflects a high aesthetic, strong and focused assortment, and quality craftsmanship.”  

Miller received a Stars Design Group prize package which includes consulting, seed money, studio space and inclusion in the company’s new global design community, United Coulture. 

“I am very excited for the opportunity to gain critical insight and advice from experts in the industry. I am most looking forward to the mentorship hours so that I can work one-on-one to develop my future brand.” Miller said.

Schnitker is actively involved in fashion education, currently participating in both the University of Missouri Textile and Apparel Management (TAM) Professional Advisory Board and the Fashion Business and Design Advisory Council at Lindenwood University. He also serves as a guest lecturer at the University of North Texas and University of Missouri.
